Thoughts: First off, I am a huge fan of Baz Luhrmann, I own all his movies (yes, all three of them). So, needless to say that I was sold on this movie before I even really heard anything about it. In all of his movies, Baz Luhrmann uses some sort of “device” to tell the story, in “Strictly Ballroom” it was the dancing, in “Romeo & Juliet” it was their way of speaking, in “Moulin Rouge” it was the singing, and it looks like in Australia it’s going to be the fact that the story is told through a fairy tale. In addition to that, the cast consists of Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, and I am sure I am not alone when I say that it’s a joy to watch them on screen. They are both great actors. And so I am looking forward to Australia, it might be another good one for Baz Luhrmann. Oh and did I mention that the trailer looks really good. Did you see the sort of dreamy look that it has? Love it!
