RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN Movie Trailer (2009)

The trailer for RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN was just released and I gotta say that it looks a lot better than what I expected.

While I have seen the original 1975 film Escape to Witch Mountain of which Race to Witch Mountain is a remake, I think it looks like a lot of fun. So why not.

Race to Witch Mountain also made our Must See Movies of 2009 list.

I was just talking to a friend the other day about the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still that’s coming out next month. She didn’t know it was a remake. I told her in that case, she’d probably enjoy this version; but for those fans like me, who love the original for the sci-fi classic it is, the Keanu Reeves version looks like Hollywood a$$-raped the original. And since Hollywood writers can’t come up with a new idea to save their lives, now they’ve decided to a$$-rape another sci-fi classic, one that’s a wonderful childhood memory for most of us. I won’t see this; if there was an online petition to stop this, I wish I’d known about it.

This isn’t really a remake, the director who’s a huge fan of the orginals confirmed it’s a new chapter which takes place about 30 years after the events of the original movies. I’m gonna call this the 3rd chapter in the Witch mountain series.
