Where the Wild Things Are is based on Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story about a young boy named Max who, after being sent to bed without supper, imagines a mysterious, wild forest in his bedroom. There he encounters mythical creatures, the wild things.

Definitely an original story that I think will fit right in with Spike Jonze’s creative mind.

Where the Wild Things Are will be released to theaters on October 16, 2009.
