Taylor Kitsch Cast as JOHN CARTER OF MARS
Taylor Kitsch has been cast as John Carter of Mars in the movie of the same name.
John Carter of Mars is based on the Edgar Rice Burroughs book series about a civil war veteran who finds himself mysteriously transported to Mars. There Carter finds out he has super-powers, because of the planet’s low gravity and becomes involved in the batter between the natives and alien invaders. This war will lead him to rediscover his humanity.
Most of you know Taylor Kitsch from his part as Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine or his portrayal of Tim Riggins in Friday Night Lights. I’m personally really excited to see him in a bigger role.
John Carter of Mars will be released in 2012.
