Movies Coming Out This Weekend June 19 2009
Wondering what movies are coming out to theaters this Friday, June 19, 2009? Here is a list with our recommendations (which you can take or leave, it’s up to you).

DEFINITELY WATCH AT THE MOVIES
The Proposal
What can I say? I am getting sucked in by another romantic comedy. Come one it’s Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock, of course I want to see it.

The Proposal Synopsis: In this comedy from Anne Fletcher (“27 Dresses”), Sandra Bullock is a Canadian immigrant who is a demanding and difficult boss. Upon discovering she’s about to be deported, she rushes into a marriage of convenience with her young assistant (Ryan Reynolds) to prevent the catastrophe.
Away We Go (Limited)
Away We Go came out to LA and NY a couple of weeks ago, and now it expends to more theaters, so if you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, you definitely should. You can read my review for Away We Go here.

Away We Go Synopsis: A couple who is expecting their first child travel around the U.S. in order to find a perfect place to start their family.
Year One
I don’t know why, but the trailer makes me laugh, so I kind of want to see if the movie lives up to my expectations.

Year One Synopsis: Year One follows a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers (Jack Black and Michael Cera) as they set off on an epic journey through the ancient world, after being banished from their primitive village.
Whatever Works (Limited – LA & NY)
I just love the trailer for this movie, it looks so good. Plus I love Evan Rachel Wood.

Whatever Works Synopsis: An eccentric New Yorker played by Larry David abandons his upper class life to lead a more bohemian existence. He meets a young girl from the south and her family and no two people seem to get along in the entanglements that follow.
We just saw The Proposal last night and really enjoyed it. This is the kind of movie that brightens up my week – great cast, feel-good story, romantic comedy that leaves me with a smile and slight happiness.
