First Look: The Volturi Cast from THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON

The Volturi Vampire Clan - The Twilight Saga: New Moon

Check out the first look at the Volturi family that will appear in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON.

For those who don’t know, the Volturi are the largest vampire coven in existence, who are sort of the vampire police, but more hard core. Let’s just say that they will get rid of you if you don’t follow the rules. Their goal is to protect the city of Volterra, Italy, where they live, as well as the vampire world.

As a fan of the books, I have to admit that the actors look pretty damn good as their characters. It’s definitely close to what I had imagined the Volturi would look like.

On the picture above from left to right we can see Michael Sheen as Aro, Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus, Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius, Dakota Fanning as Jane, and Cameron Bright as Alec.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon will be released to theaters on November 20, 2009.

So Twilight fans, what do you say? How are you liking the Volturi?

I love Dakota Fanning as Jane, Cameron Bright as Alec, and Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus, but i don’t really know what to think about Michael Sheen as Aro and Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius. In the book Stephenie Meyer describes Aro, Marcus, and Caius as being older and that is how i picture them. Oh well I’ll decide what i think after seeing the movie. OH! One more thing, why isn’t Jane’s hair brown like Alec’s they have the same color hair in the book. I understand not dying her hair becouse it takes too long and Dakota is still a minor, but what about a wig? they did something like that for kristin stewart in twilight.

I think that Cauis looks like Lucius Malfoys estranged brother!
Alec looks like something that has been churned out by the disney channel!
Dakota Fanning is too young to play Jane… Micheal Sheen as Aro was a brilliant decision coz he looks…. right!
Marcus looks a bit too sinister… i mean Caius is supposed to be the sinister one….
I think they’ve just mucked about and haven’t thought through the movies!
I’m sure fans would wait for a better cast.. i mean the casting agent isn’t that good are they??
The films just really aren’t as good as the books and I think they made a HUGE mistake axing Rachelle Levefre as Victoria!!!
