The Losers is based on the comic book of the same name by Andy Diggle about a Special Forces team, aka The Losers, who are trying to get revenge after being betrayed by their handler, Max, and left for dead.
I actually just finished reading the first volume of The Losers and couldn’t put it down. I think this could make a really good movie (if done well of course), and I have to give them props for some of the casting. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a perfect choice for Clay, and I think Chris Evans could be a great Jensen (my other choice would have been Ryan Reynolds). However, I am not yet sold on Zoe Saldana as Aisha, not that I don’t like her, but Aisha is pretty hard core (even more than some of the guys) and I just think Zoe Saldana is too sweet to pull it off, but I hope she proves me wrong.
As for the poster itself, well it’s pretty much the characters from the comic book, apart for Roque, who is white in the comic. I think it’s a pretty cool way to market the movie. Thanks to A Human Reaction for finding it.
The Losers will be released to theaters on April 16, 2010.
