AGORA New Movie Trailer with Rachel Weisz

Check out a new trailer for AGORA starring Rachel Weisz, Max Minghella, Rupert Evans and directed by Alejandro Amenábar.
Period movies I feel are usually hit or miss because they really need to have a compelling story in order to draw people in. Well, the trailer for Agora definitely drew me in, and having Rachel Weisz as a leading lady was a great choice. Besides the fact that I would watch her in pretty much anything, the trailer for Agora has gotten me quite excited for the movie.
Agora will be released to theaters on December 18, 2009. Watch the trailer below.
Agora Synopsis: 4th century A.D. Egypt under the Roman Empire… Violent religious upheaval in the streets of Alexandria spills over into the city’s famous Library. Trapped inside its walls, the brilliant astronomer Hypatia and her disciples fight to save the wisdom of the Ancient World… Among them, the two men competing for her heart: The witty, privileged Orestes and Davus, Hypatia’s young slave, who is torn between his secret love for her and the freedom he knows can be his if he chooses to join the unstoppable surge of the Christians.
