New Movies In Theaters This Friday November 6 2009
Wondering what movies are coming out to theaters this Friday, October 16, 2009? Here is a list with my intentions to watch at the movies, rent, watch on TV, or skip all together.

DEFINITELY WATCH AT THE MOVIES
Disney’s A Christmas Carol
The story is old and tired but the visuals look excellent so I would definitely see this at the movies

Disney’s A Christmas Carol Synopsis: Ebenezer Scrooge begins the Christmas holiday with his usual miserly contempt, barking at his faithful clerk and his cheery nephew. But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take him on an eye-opening journey revealing truths Old Scrooge is reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it’s too late.
DEFINITELY WATCH AT THE MOVIES
Men Who Stare at Goats
Georges Clooney being his usual awesome funny self. I can’t wait to see this movie.

Men Who Stare at Goats Synopsis: Reporter Bob Wilton is in search of his next big story when he encounters Lyn Cassady, a shadowy figure who claims to be part of an experimental U.S. military unit. According to Cassady, the New Earth Army is changing the way wars are fought. A legion of “Warrior Monks” with unparalleled psychic powers can read the enemy’s thoughts, pass through solid walls, and even kill a goat simply by staring at it. Now, the program’s founder, Bill Django, has gone missing and Cassady’s mission is to find him. Intrigued by his new acquaintance’s far-fetched stories, Bob impulsively decides to tag along. When the pair tracks Django to a clandestine training camp run by renegade psychic Larry Hooper, the reporter is trapped in the middle of a grudge match between the forces of Django’s New Earth Army and Hooper’s personal militia of super soldiers. In order to survive this wild adventure, Bob will have to outwit an enemy he never thought possible.
DEFINITELY RENT
Precious
Yes, yes, I know. “This is the best movie of the year” “It will warm your heart” “You have to see it”…While this is a critically acclaimed movie, I have to be honest with myself and acknowledge the fact that I am not going to go see it at the movies.

Precious Synopsis: Clareece “Precious” Jones is an overweight, illiterate African-American teen in Harlem. Just as she’s about to give birth to her second child, Jones is accepted into an alternative school where a teacher helps her find a new path in her life.
DEFINITELY WATCH ON TV
The Box
The Box looks like a fantastic movie to watch on HBO or Showtime. I certainly don’t want to pay good money for a movie that was spoiled by Cameron Diaz during Comic Con.

The Box Synopsis: Norma and Arthur Lewis are a suburban couple with a young child who receive an anonymous gift bearing fatal and irrevocable consequences. A simple wooden box, it promises to deliver its owner $1 million with the press of a button. However, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world–someone they don’t know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in the crosshairs of a startling moral dilemma and face the true nature of their humanity.
HELL WILL FREEZE FIRST
The Fourth Kind
The Fourth Kind is an alien abduction movie. I am not a big fan of Alien abduction movie. So you see my problem.

The Fourth Kind Synopsis: 1n 1972, a scale of measurement was established for alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind. This encounter has been the most difficult to document-until now. Set in modern-day Nome, Alaska, where–mysteriously since the 1960s–a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year. Despite multiple FBI investigations of the region, the truth has never been discovered. Here in this remote region, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler began videotaping sessions with traumatized patients and unwittingly discovered some of the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented.
