Jean-Claude Van Damme & Dolph Lundgren Reunite in New UNIVERSAL SOLDIER Film

Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren will star in a new UNIVERSAL SOLDIER film. The two actors will reprise their roles and return to the big screen as the muscular anti-heroes they previously portrayed in 1992, for a new installation of the franchise ‘Universal Soldier: Regeneration’.
Jean-Claude Van Damme is regenerated soldier Luc Deveraux, whereas Lundgren stars as his evil Sergeant, Andrew Scott in the storyline which revolves around a group of US soldiers who died in Vietnam, but are brought back to life as super soldiers for a secret US government project. The new plotline will follow the characters as they battle to stop the world from being destroyed by a radioactive cloud formed by a militant Islamist, who also kidnaps the US President’s children.
A source explained: “Luc is now a Universal Soldier again and joins a new team, secretly held in deep storage. “Their mission is to retake Chernobyl, but Luc discovers one of the reactivated Universal Soldiers is a clone of his old, homicidal Sergeant, Andrew Scott.”
The film is due to go straight to DVD in February next year.
