Check out a new cast photo/poster for THE LOSERS, that Hero Complex got their hands on recently.

This is the live version photo of the cast which copies the earlier poster that was released (which is really the cover of the comic). Now the interesting thing is that they switched around the characters of Aisha (Zoe Saldana) and Clay (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and put Aisha front and center even though it’s Clay who is the main character of the story (could this have anything to do with Zoe Saldana’s new found popularity from Avatar?…). Although I do have to say that photo looks pretty cool.
However, after watching the trailer, I am sorry to say that it seems they totally changed the story from the comic book, which is unfortunate because it’s a pretty great story. So I’m afraid we might have another Hollywood cliche/formula-type movie on our hands. I can only hope that I am wrong.

The Losers is based on the comic of the same name by Andy Diggle about a Special Forces team, aka The Losers, who are trying to get revenge after being betrayed by their handler, Max, and left for dead.
The movie stars Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Chris Evans, Oscar Jaenada, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana, Jason Patric, Holt McCallany, and is directed by Sylvain White.

The Losers will be released to theaters on April 23, 2010. Check out the full cast photo below.
