THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN Split Into 2 Movies

It has been confirmed by Nikki Finke that the last book of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, will be split into 2 movies, which will be filmed back to back starting Mid-October 2010. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who has written all of the Twilight films, is currently working on the Breaking Dawn script.

This news doesn’t really come as a surprise, with the huge success of the first two movies, it seems only natural that Summit Entertainment would want to rake in as much money as they can while it lasts.

However, as a fan of the Twilight series, I can’t say that I am too excited for the final movie, because I just didn’t really like the book that much. That said, I am looking forward to the third movie, Eclipse, which comes out to theaters on June 30, 2010.
