HOMELANDERS: A Bourne Identity For Teens?

THR has reported that Summit Entertainment is trying to get the movie rights for the Andrew Klavan book series HOMELANDERS.
HOMELANDERS tells the story of Charlie West who is an ordinary teenager who one day wakes up tied up to a chair and realizes that he has been away from home for an entire year. Charlie then goes on the run trying to escape his pursuers and unravel the mystery surrounding his disappearance. Sounds familiar?
After dabbling in the Vampire goldmine, Summit appears to be trying to capture a larger market than teen girls and their mom by venturing into the testosterone heavy action adventure features a la Bourne Identity. Will they be successful? Maybe, with the right casting (ie no one from the CW shows), the right script and the right directing, they have a shot… a very very long shot.
What do you think of the news? Is Homelander a good book to make into a movie? Is this the new teen Bourne Identity? Share your thoughts below.
