Documentary on Carla Bruni-Sarkozy To Air Soon

The Birth of a First Lady, a documentary that chronicled the first 18 months of Carla Bruni-Sarkozy’s as the First Lady of France will soon be released internationally.
According to AFP, The 90-minute documentary, which was pared down to 52 minutes for the international market was a hot item for sale at the MIPDOC (an annual convention for documentary films,) industry show held in Cannes this year.
The documentary shows “how becoming a first lady can change a woman’s life,” says Isabelle Graziadey of the Terranoa company in charge of overall distribution. The former supermodel turned first lady is shown interacting with other first ladies and also giving one on one interviews with the producers.
This should prove to be an interesting look into the halls of power and protocol through the eyes of a newcomer. Can’t wait to see this when it comes out in the US, even though the doc still hasn’t been picked up by a US distributor. Hint Hint HBO!
