Hayley Atwell is Captain America’s Love Interest
Hayley Atwell just got the role of Peggy Carter, the lead female lead and Captain America’s original fiance in the new super hero flick, The First Avenger: Captain America (Joe Johnston will direct the new film). Atwell, a British actress, has starred in such movies as The Duchess and Brideshead Revisited.
According to Variety, Peggy Carter is “an American spy handy with a gun. She falls in love with Captain America as the two fight together against the Nazis during World War II”.
Marvel plans on releasing several more super hero movies, including the much anticipated Iron Man 2. The First Avenger: Captain America is supposed to be released next summer. will star with Chris Evans as Captain America in the film.
