MACHETE Gets A Release Date

MACHETE started life as a fake trailer for a movie called Grindhouse. 20th Century Fox decided to expand the film into an offering for the silver screen. Fans of the anticipated movie have waited for the company to announce a release date for the upcoming film.

According to Variety, Fox finally gave the film a date of September 3, placing the release just at the end of the summer movie season.

Machete is a suspense thriller that involves a “knife-wielding vigilante who nearly dies in an assassination conspiracy, only to return later on and seek vengeance against those who wronged him”.

Ethan Marquis and Robert Rodriguez are directing the new film. Star include Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez and Jessica Alba.
