Ryan Gosling Narrates The Cynical Doc REGENERATION
Ryan Gosling will be narrating the documentary “ReGeneration” by Phillip Montgomery, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The documentary probes the underlying causes of pervasive cynicism in today’s society, and specifically, the youth. Montgomery’s work will also examine the indifference youth often feels towards politics and social causes.
Gosling will be working with Matt DeRoss from Anonymous Content, along with Joel and Jeremy Goulder from Engine 7 Films. ReGeneration will look at three diverse groups of people and how they deal with cynicism. A group of musicians, a young family of conservatives expecting a child, and some suburban high-school students make up the three groups.
The dynamic cast also includes free thinker Naom Chomsky and historian Howard Zinn. Emcee Talib Kweli and STS9 musicians also make up the cast. IFA Talent Agency is representing Gosling throughout the gig.
Gosling will go on to be seen in Blue Valentine which premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival (Read our Blue Valentine Review). Currently, he is filming a comedy from Warner Brothers with Steve Carrell.
