BEATLES Movie Gets The OK From Oasis’ Liam Gallagher

Liam Gallagher, front man for Oasis, will be producing a movie on the Beatles’ last year together as a band. The film is expected to be released during the Festival de Cannes.
According to THR, The British Production label Revolution Films is heading the Beatles project. Producer Andrew Eaton and filmmaker Michael Winterbottom will work alongside Liam Gallagher to create the film.
Gallagher’s film will be inspired by the Beatles own movie depicting their breakup as a group. Other inspirations for the film include a 1972 book by Richard DiLello entitled, “The Longest Cocktail Party: An Insider’s Diary of the Beatles, Their Million Dollar Apple Empire and Its Wild Rise and Fall.” The book details the author’s time at the Savile Row London offices during the 1960s, and it offers a sneak peek at the crazy happenings during the Beatles’ lives.
As part of Oasis, Gallagher is known for his admiration of the Beatles’ legacy. The project is sure to do well at next week’s Cannes festival.
