SUCKER PUNCH 3D Coming Out In IMAX

Warner Brothers Pictures recently announced that “Sucker Punch 3D” is set to be released on March 25, 2011 at IMAX theaters, according to THR. The film will be digitally remastered and optimized for the IMAX viewing. IMAX theaters are created with a super-sized screen that displays films with larger size and better resolution.
The IMAX showing is a part of a distribution deal between IMAX theaters and Warner Brothers. The deal includes a 20-picture distribution that is set to continue until 2013.
Zack Snyder has much experience with IMAX. His other film, “Watchmen,” also was released through a combination of IMAX viewings and conventional distribution means.
“Sucker Punch 3D” is a film that takes place in the 1950s and depicts the life of a young girl (Emily Browning), confined to a mental institution by her stepfather who plans to have her lobotomized in five days time, creates an imaginary world to plan her escape.
