FINAL DESTINATION Creator To Remake Japanese Horror Movie THE NEIGHBOR NUMBER 13

James Wong will remake the Japanese horror film THE NEIGHBOR NUMBER 13, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film’s Japanese title was “Rinjin 13-go” and was originally directed by Yasuo Inoue.
The film tells the story of a little boy who is constantly abused by the school bully. When he reaches adulthood, he snaps as years of repressed feelings surface. Revenge becomes his only goal and this is where the horror comes in.
James Wong is the creator/director of the very popular “Final Destination” movies. He is hoping to strike gold again with “The Neighbor Number 13“. According to Wong, watch for a “heroic twist” that should add to the film’s notoriety.
“The Neighbor Number 13” will be produced and financed by Distant Horizon. Scheduled for a fall 2011 release, the film will go into production later this year.
