James Franco Cast in RICKY STANICKY
Summit Entertainment has picked up the new comedy project “Ricky Stanicky” starring James Franco. Franco will be cast as the lead character, Ricky, in the new comedy film.
The new film, written by Jeff Bushell (‘Beverly Hills Chihuahua’), follows the story of three teens who concoct a fake identity to cover for themselves after they accidentally burn down a house in their neighborhood. The three come up with a fake individual, Ricky Stanicky, to take the fall for the arson. The trio sticks to their alibi into adulthood until their wives call them out. In order to maintain the alibi, they hire an actor to play the role of Ricky (played by Franco).
Franco has a number of films coming out or set to release in the coming months. He most recently starred in the spring release “Date Night” and will next appear in “Eat, Pray, Love”, a romantic film starring Julia Roberts. Franco will also appear in three other films and is also expected to reprise his role on “General Hospital”.
