James McAvoy is Charles Xavier in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

Reports are coming out that James McAvoy has been hired to play young Charles Xavier in the upcoming production of “X-Men: First Class” to be directed by Matthew Vaughn.
The movie will delve into the younger days of Xavier and Lensherr, at a time when the two were friends and learning of their unique powers and unite with other mutants. The story will evolve into what incidents divided the men onto opposite sides with Xavier becoming Professor X, leading the X-Men and Lensherr becoming Magneto, leading the Brotherhood.
Patrick Stewart, bald and confined to a wheelchair, is how viewers know the mature Professor X, as portrayed in the X-Men series. Whether or not James McAvoy will be required to shed his locks for “X-Men: First Class”, is unknown at this time.
McAvoy has starred in the acclaimed films “Becoming Jane”, “Atonement”, and “The Wanted”, a story also based on a comic book.
