Dustin Lance Black Hired To Adapt Graphic Novel

Dustin Lance Black, who won an Oscar for the script of “Milk” has been hired by Warner Bros. to pen the script and direct the adaptation of the graphic novel “3 Story: The Secret History of the Giant Man” according to the Hollywood Reporter. Warner Bros. picked up the movie rights to “3 Story: The Secret History of the Giant Man” a graphic novel written by Matt Kindt.
The novel is a modern tale about a giant man afflicted by a strange medical condition that causes him to grow continuously. In the novel the story is viewed from the perspective of three women in the main character’s life, his mother, wife, and daughter. The story follows the main character (Craig Pressgang) through his life from birth to his three story height and explores Craig’s loneliness and the ever changing nature of love in his life.
In addition to his Oscar-winning screenplay for “Milk”, Black has written scripts for Clint Eastwood’s latest project, “Hoover,” and even written and produced episodes of HBO’s “Big Love.”
