Paul Rudd is an IDIOT…BROTHER

Paul Rudd has joined the cast of the upcoming indie film “My Idiot Brother” according to the Hollywood Reporter. Rudd will play the lead role in the comedy film which is being directed by Jesse Peretz.
The film follows an idealistic brother with three sisters and an overbearing mother. Over the course of the plot Rudd’s character must cope with his mother crashing the lives of his three sisters, wreaking havoc along the way while also bringing them truth, happiness, and sunny dispositions. The film will begin filming in July in New York and Peretz’ sister Evgenia Peretz will team with David Schisgall to pen the script.
Rudd has appeared in a number of successful comedies over the years such as “Anchorman”, “Role Models”, and “I Love You Man”. Rudd has two movies headed for the big screen this year. He stars alongside Steve Carell in “Dinner for Schmucks” which will be released in July. Rudd can also be seen later this year next to Reese Witherspoon in “How Do You Know” which opens December 17.
