LAYOVER – Yet Another “Father Searching for Lost Daughter” Movie

Rookie screenwriter Zach Dean has had the script for his original action thriller “Layover” nabbed up by Endgame Entertainment according to the Hollywood Reporter. New to the script writing world, Dean has been teaching film at a New York City high school until recently.
Dean’s script follows a father with a sketchy past who is forced to dive back into his past to search for his teenage daughter that was lost during a layover in Las Vegas. Basil Iwanyk of Thunder Road Pictures is hoping to produce alongside Endgame with Kent Kubena lined up to oversee the project for Thunder Road.
Dean has another script in the works “Kin”, a contemporary Western, taking a lot of heat early on. Madhouse Entertainment and Mutual Film Company will produce the film, with 2929 Films financing. Stefan Ruzowitzky, who previously directed “The Counterfeiters”, has been lined up to direct “Kin”.
