Sigourney Weaver Joins Taylor Lautner in ABDUCTION

Sigourney Weaver has joined the cast of the upcoming thriller “Abduction” according to MTV News. Weaver will star alongside Lily Collins and “Twilight” actor Taylor Lautner in the John Singleton directed film.
Lautner will play the lead role in the film as a young man who discovers his own baby picture posted on a website for missing children. According to Variety, Weaver will play the role of Lautner’s psychiatrist. Newcomer Shawn Christensen wrote the script for the film which will be produced by Gotham Group and Vertigo along with Lautner’s Tailor Made label. The film will begin shooting in Pittsburgh in July with a release date set for 2011.
Weaver is well known for her roles in wildly popular films like the “Alien” series and the “Ghostbusters” films. She can next be seen in Disney’s live-action release “You Again” alongside Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis and Betty White. Weaver also has roles lined up in the sci-fi comedy “Paul”, vampire flick “Vamps”, and the long awaited third “Ghostbusters” film.
