Summit Entertainment Has A New Thriller In The Works
Screenwriting duo Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt have sold the script for their new film “Now You See Me” to Summit Entertainment according to Entertainment Weekly. Summit has been the most active buyer in Hollywood and the company nabbed the rights to the film which has Kurtzman Orci Paper Products duo Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci already lined up to produce.
The film is set to be a thriller that sees an elite FBI squad attempt to figure out how a group of the world’s greatest illusionists are pulling off daring bank heists during their performances. The super-team manages to shower their rewards upon audience members while staying just ahead of the law.
Kurtzman Orci Paper Products’ Bobby Cohen will executive produce the project along with Yakin. Both Yakin and Ricourt have extensive credentials (Yakin wrote “The Rookie” and directed “Remember the Titans” while Ricourt wrote “Year 12”) and this is not the first time they have teamed up. The pair first collaborated on the horror project “Abraham’s Daughter”, which was set up at GreeneStreet.
