David Tennant & Christopher Mintz-Plasse Cast in FRIGHT NIGHT Remake

The upcoming remake of the 1985 cult classic “Fright Night” has had two more actors join the cast according to the Hollywood Reporter. David Tennant, star of the BBC series “Doctor Who”, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse who starred in “Kick-Ass” will join the cast of the remake.
Tennant and Mintz-Plasse will join Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, and Toni Collette on the cast of the film. Yelchin plays the role of a teenage boy who is convinced that his new neighbor, Farrell, is a vampire. Yelchin’s character, Charlie, struggles to convince others of Farrell’s identity, including his own mother, played by Collette.
Tennant will be cast as Peter Vincent in the film. In the original film Vincent hosts a late-night horror show, but in the remake, he’s a Las Vegas magician who claims to be a vampire expert. Mintz-Plasse has been cast as Evil Ed, a friend of Charlie who is distraught that Charlie has abandoned his nerdy past. Evil Ed eventually joins the vampires.
