Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer & Rashida Jones Join Paul Rudd in IDIOT

Actresses Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer, and Rashida Jones have all signed onto the cast of “My Idiot Brother” according to THR. The quartet of leading ladies will join Paul Rudd on the cast of the comedy which is being directed by Jesse Peretz.
The actresses are likely to fill out the main roles in the comedy about an idealistic brother, played by Rudd, whose overbearing mother crashes the homes of his three sisters. As the mother blows through each woman’s life she manages to wreak havoc while at the same time leaving behind truth, happiness, and a sunny disposition.
It is being reported that Banks, Deschanel, and Mortimer will play the roles of the three sisters in the film. Banks will play the role of one of Rudd’s sisters, a career-oriented journalist. Deschanel will play the bisexual sister whose “head in the clouds” approach to life endangers her relationship with her partner, played by Jones. Mortimer will play the role of a yuppie that is blind to her own failing marriage.
