IFC Films Acquires Rights To “Wake” With Jamie-Lynn Sigler

The North American rights to the film “Wake” have been acquired by indie distributor IFC Films. The film, written and directed by Chad Feehan, debuted in March at the SXSW Film Festival. IFC is expected to distribute the thriller through IFC Midnight, its video on-demand platform.
Josh Stewart and Jamie-Lynn Sigler star in “Wake” as a couple who face eerie circumstances at a roadside motel. They are forced to spend the night at the creepy location in the Mojave Desert on their way to a wedding in Los Angeles. Amanda Micallef and Lea-Beth Shapiro produced the film alongside Feehan. Feehan previously produced “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane” and will be writing and directing the upcoming crime thriller “Beyond the Pale”.
“Wake” was not IFC’s only acquisition from the SXSW Film Festival. The company also attained the rights to “Made in China”, “Sorry, Thanks”, “Cold Weather”, and “Tiny Furniture”.
