GREEN LANTERN 2 & THE FLASH Gets Writers
Greg Berlanti, Michael Green, and Marc Guggenheim have been hired by Warner Bros. Studios to pen the script for “Green Lantern 2” and “The Flash”. Warner Bros. hasn’t even released “Green Lantern” yet, that happens next year, and they are already getting production started on a sequel.
The trio will initially work on treatments for both films and according to their deal would write the screen play for one of the two projects, though which one they would write is not yet clear. The first installment in the “Lantern” series is already filming in New Orleans. Ryan Reynolds is playing the role of the emerald superhero from DC Comics lore.
It is highly unusual for a studio to begin considerations for a sequel when the first installment in a franchise hasn’t even been released, signaling that Warner Bros. must have a great deal of confidence in what it has already seen during filming.
