Stana Katic and Odette Yustman Cast in THE DOUBLE
The cast for the upcoming spy thriller “The Double” has grown by two as Stana Katic and Odette Yustman have signed onto the project. The women are the second and third to join the cast this week as “True Blood” star Stephen Moyer joined the cast earlier this week.
“The Double” comes from Hype Park and Imagenation Abu Dhabi and will be the directorial debut of scribe Michael Brandt. Brandt wrote the script for the film with partner Derek Haas. In the film Richard Gere and Topher Grace team up as a retired CIA operative (Gere) and young FBI agent (Grace) to track down the killer of a senator. Katic will play a feisty Russian prostitute protecting key information while Yustman will play the role of Grace’s wife.
Katic has appeared alongside Samuel L. Jackson in “The Spirit” and “Quantum of Solace” with Daniel Craig. She is best known however for playing detective Kate Beckett opposite Nathan Fillion in ABC’s “Castle.” Yustman has appeared on TV in “October Road,” and also in the J.J. Abrams-produced movie “Cloverfield.” She will next be seen with Kristen Bell and Sigourney Weaver in Disney’s upcoming comedy “You Again.”
