Martin Sheen to Play CIA Director in THE DOUBLE

Martin Sheen has joined the cast of the upcoming spy thriller “The Double“. The film begins shooting Monday in Detroit and was written by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas.

The Double” is a spy thriller that sees a retired CIA operative paired with a young FBI agent to unravel the clues in the assassination of a U.S. Senator. As the pair get deeper into their investigation all signs point to a former Soviet assassin thought to be long dead. Richard Gere and Topher Grace are among the film’s stars, playing the roles of the ex-CIA operative and FBI agent respectively. Stephen Moyer, Stana Katic, and Odette Yustman have also recently joined the cast. Sheen will play the role of the director of the CIA.

The film will be directed by Michael Brandt with Hyde Park and Imagenation producing. Hyde Park International will have the worldwide rights for the distribution of the “The Double.”
