Joseph Gordon-Levitt Gets Two Co-Stars In PREMIUM RUSH

Actors Michael Shannon and Jamie Chung will be joining the cast of the upcoming thriller “Premium Rush” starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Shannon has already signed onto the cast to play the villain in the film while Chung is finalizing negotiations to join as the lead female.
The film follows a New York City bike messenger who picks up an envelope that was never meant to go out. The contents of the envelope are coveted by a dirty cop who chases the messenger throughout the city from the time the messenger picks up the envelope at Columbia University. Joseph Gordon-Levitt will star in the film as the bike messenger while Shannon joins the cast as the hot-tempered crooked cop. Assuming Chung joins the cast, she’ll play the role of Gordon-Levitt’s ex-girlfriend.
Shannon can currently be seen on the big screen in “Jonah Hex” and is a member of the cast of “Boardwalk Empire” on HBO. He was nominated for an Oscar in 2008 for his efforts on “Revolutionary Road.” Chung currently stars in ABC Family’s “Samurai Girl” and can be seen in the upcoming films “Grown Ups” and “Sucker Punch.”
