Luc Besson Wants To Direct A Love Story
French filmmaker Luc Besson is making the rounds in Hollywood with the script for a love story in hand. The untitled script was written by Besson and David Marconi and is looking for interest among the big studios. Besson is attached to direct the film.
Besson, who created “Le Femme Nikita”, is no stranger to love stories. However, Besson has not directed or produced an English language film since 1999’s “Joan of Arc.” Besson is hoping to begin casting soon for his love story script and insiders have revealed he is aiming to begin filming by September in London and Paris.
Besson is currently shopping two other scripts he co-wrote. One is a prison-in-space drama titled “The Lock Out” and the other is a revenge flick entitled “Colombiana.” The second film already has Zoe Saldana attached to star in the film. Besson is set to produce both films. Other films to his credit include “The Professional” and “The Fifth Element.”
