M. Night Shyamalan Hires BURIED Writer To Pen New Movie

Director M. Night Shyamalan has the second feature film to be produced through his banner group Night Chronicles all set to go. Shyamalan has hired writer Chris Sparling to pen the script for the upcoming film “Twelve Strangers.”
The film is a thriller that follows the twelve members of a jury as they deliberate in a case involving the supernatural. Media Rights Capital is backing Shyamalan’s Night Chronicles genre label and were involved in the decision to hire Sparling to pen the script. MRC and Shyamalan have a three-year deal to make one film a year with up and coming filmmakers. Night Chronicles just finished production of its first film, “Devil.”
Sparling previously wrote the script for the film “Buried.” The film was directed by Rodrigo Cortes and starred Ryan Reynolds in a coffin thriller that is controlled by Lionsgate. Shyamalan is currently focused on his big budget film “The Last Airbender” which premiers July 1.
