Barry Levinson To Direct BROTHER JACK

Columbia Pictures has announced the director Barry Levinson will be returning to the big screen when he directs the biopic “Brother Jack.” Sony’s Columbia Pictures is developing the project with Mosaic attached to produce.
The film is a biopic about priest-turned-activist Jack Healey. Mr. Healey is known across the globe for his efforts in the fight to improve human rights. Healey left the priesthood to take his fight for the people to the streets and did so for over 25 years. He has been given credit for bringing human rights issues to the attention of governments across the globe. Harley Peyton wrote the original script for the project which is now being rewritten by Kelly Masterson.
Levinson was the brilliant eye behind some of the greatest films like “Rain Man,” “Good Morning Vietnam,” and “The Natural.” Most recently he directed a biopic about Jack Kevorkian for HBO entitled “You Don’t Know Jack.”
