Jet Li Teams Up With Tsui Hark For New Movie

Actor Jet Li and director Tsui Hark will reunite for the first time in 18 years to work on the film “New Dragon Gate Inn.” The pair first teamed up for three installments in the “Once Upon a Time in China” series.
According to reports at the time, Li and Hark had a tense relationship by the end of the third film but have settled their differences to work on “New Dragon Gate Inn.” The film is a remake of the 1992 feature “Dragon Inn,” which was also produced by Hark. The story is set during the Ming dynasty and Li will play the role of General Chow Wai-On who clashes with a power hungry adversary in Tsao Siu-Yan.
The project will begin filming in September; in the meantime viewers can find Li in a handful of other films. His first non-martial arts film “Ocean Heaven” releases in China shortly and he will appear in the Hollywood film “The Expendables” which hits theaters August 20th.
