Kevin Bacon To Play Villain in X-MEN: FIRST CLASS?
Actor Kevin Bacon is reportedly in talks to join the cast of the upcoming X-Men prequel “X-Men: First Class.” The film is being directed by Matthew Vaughn and will take a new perspective from the previous trilogy that featured star actors Hugh Jackman, Halle Barry, and Patrick Stewart.
The reboot of the franchise will follow the mutant superheroes from a younger age as the group comes together. There is no official word as the role Bacon may play, but some in Hollywood are guessing that he could be cast as the villain The Shadow King. In X-Men, The Shadow King is responsible for crippling Charles Xavier. Whether or not that is the role Bacon lands depends on how the story opens in “X-Men: First Class.”
If Bacon joins the cast, he will be the latest star to join a cast that already includes James McAvoy as Professor Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Magneto.
