Julia Roberts

Writer-director Ryan Murphy just wrapped up a $5 million deal with Sony to develop a romantic comedy in which Julia Roberts will star. Under the deal Murphy will receive $2.5 million to write the screenplay and $242.5 million to direct.

The untitled romantic comedy will see Roberts star as a woman who is the bread winner of the family and married to a stay at home husband. Their roles become reversed when she loses her job and must adjust to her new role and responsibilities in motherhood. Roberts and Murphy first teamed together for the upcoming release “Eat Pray Love” which is based upon Elizabeth Gilbert’s best seller. Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner produced “Eat Pray Love” and will return to produce the new romantic comedy along with Murphy.

Murphy is the co-creator and executive producer of Fox’s hit show “Glee.” “Eat Pray Love” will hit theaters on August 13.
