Simon Pegg Back For MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 4

British actor Simon Pegg is in the midst of negotiations to return to the cast for the fourth installment in the “Mission Impossible” franchise. Paramount will produce the fourth film with Brad Bird set to direct the film.
If he rejoins the cast, Pegg will reprise his role as Benji Dunn, the geeky lab rat. While Paramount has not officially given the project the go ahead, it appears the film will be made. Tom Cruise is expected to return as agent Ethan Hunt and will produce the film along with JJ Abrams. Pegg would be reunited with Abrams who directed him on the set of the “Star Trek” reboot where Pegg played engineer Scotty. Production is expected to begin sometime in September.
Pegg will be appearing at Comic-Con next week in San Diego to show his new comedy “Paul.” The Universal-Working Title project follows two geeks on their way to Comic-Con when they encounter aliens.
