Emily Mortimer and Michael Stuhlbarg Join Scorsese’s HUGO CABRET
Actors Emily Mortimer and Michael Stuhlbarg have joined the cast of the upcoming family adventure film ‘Hugo Cabret.’ The ensemble film, which will be shot in 3D, will mark director Martin Scorsese’s first foray into the family genre.
The movie is based upon the bestselling book ‘The Invention of Hugo Cabret’ from author Brian Selznick. The film follows the story of a boy, Hugo, who runs across a broken machine, an eccentric girl, and a cold, reserved man who runs a toy shop while living within the walls of a Paris train station. Along the way the boy experiences a magical adventure that could reveal all his secrets.
Mortimer has previously worked with Scorsese on his film ‘Shutter Island,’ and can next be seen alongside Paul Rudd in the comedy ‘My Idiot Brother.’ Stuhlbarg, a Golden Globe nominee, is one of the stars of Scorsese”s upcoming HBO series ‘Boardwalk Empire.’
