THOR Comic Con 2010 Panel (With Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and more)

The THOR Comic Con 2010 panel featured director Kenneth Branagh, Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Kat Dennings, Clark Gregg and Tom Hiddleston.

To start off the panel, we were shown a trailer of THOR in 3D. Unfortunately, the trailer failed to impress, which is really disappointing because as a Kenneth Branagh fan I was really looking forward to what he would come up with. I do have to mention that I do not know anything about the THOR mythology, so I can’t talk as to how close to the comic book the trailer looked, but I thought the trailer did a poor job of explaining the story for people like me who don’t know anything about THOR. All I know is that he’s a God (which I didn’t even get from the trailer) and that he got banished to Earth by his father for whatever reason. Let’s hope we get some more exciting footage soon.

But now on to the highlights from the Thor panel, as well as some photos:

- The character of Darcy played by Kat Dennings is a new creation, she’s not in the comic book. “Jane Foster’s helper nome/protege who doesn’t know how to do anything.” -Kat Dennings

- Kenneth Branagh mentioned that there would be some Don Blake surprises in the movie.
