Zac Efron Looking To Join THE LUCKY ONE

Actor Zac Efron has started negotiations with Warner Bros. over a starring role in the upcoming film “The Lucky One.” The film is an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel with the same title.
Efron will play the starring role in the film of a Marine who is freshly returned from three tours of duty in Iraq. The Marine believes his luck is due in large part to the picture of a woman he carried with him during his tour, a woman he has yet to meet. Upon returning to home to North Carolina he begins a quest to find the woman. Denise Di Novi and Kevin McCormick will produce the film which is to be directed by Scott Hicks.
Efron has a production deal in place with Warner Bros. but will not play a producing role in “The Lucky One.” Efron can next be seen in theaters on Friday when the Universal film “Charlie St. Cloud” is released.
