THE WALKING DEAD’s Sarah Wayne Callies is A Screenwriter?
“Elena’s Serenade,” an adapted screenplay from actress Sarah Wayne Callies, was recently snatched up by producer Cameron Lamb and Film Farm. Lamb is well known for his production credits on “Daydream Nation” and Film Farm put together “Adoration.”
Callies’ first screenplay is an adaptation of the children’s book from Campbell Geeslin. The story in “Serenade” is filled with music, magic, and dreams, and follows a young girl on her innocent journey through the deserts of Mexico to become a glass blower. The story evolves from an innocent journey to story of life experience.
Callies appeared as a series regular on Fox’s “Prison Break” and will next appear on television as the star of the new AMC series “The Walking Dead.” She recently finished filming on three indie film projects, the dramas “Lullaby for Pi” and “Black Gold” as well as the thriller “Faces in the Crowd.”
