James Cameron Sees Underwater Shoots For AVATAR Sequel

James Cameron’s “Avatar” smashed box office records with ease when it was released, and now talk is already turning to his plans for the two confirmed sequels. Cameron reportedly has a desire to film segments of the second film underwater.
The re-release of “Avatar” is fast approaching and details surrounding the two sequels have begun to surface in recent weeks, many of them from the director himself. Cameron, who enjoys diving as a hobby, has said that he would like to see the second film at least partially take place in the oceans of Pandora. The oceans on Pandora have been described by Cameron as being as rich and diverse as the surface, it’s just not a rainforest. When asked about his love of diving as a hobby and its influence on filming underwater, Cameron said it’s never as enjoyable because quite simply, its work.
“Avatar” broke box office records around the world, bringing in just over $2 billion worldwide.
