Mad Men’s January Jones To Play Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class

Actress January Jones is the latest addition to the cast of the upcoming “X-Men: First Class.” Matthew Vaughn will direct the reboot of the X-Men franchise which is set up at Fox studios.
Jones will join a large ensemble cast that includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, Morgan Lily, and Zoe Kravitz. The new version of the X-Men tale will follow the mutant superheroes from a younger age than the previous trilogy and will star none of the actors from the original three films. Jones will play the role of telepathic mutant Emma Frost. The role of Frost was previously set to go to Alice Eve, but her negotiations with Fox fell through.
Jones currently stars on the AMC series “Mad Men.” Her work on that series garnered an Emmy nomination for the actress in 2010. She just finished filming her role on the upcoming film “Unknown White Male” starring Liam Neeson.
