Angelina Jolie To Make Directorial Debut With Bosnian War Love Flick
Actor Angelina Jolie will make her directorial debut beginning this fall when she takes the helm of a love story set during the Bosnian War. The film will be shot in Eastern Europe on a micro-budget.
Jolie wrote the script for the project herself. The untitled film tells the story of a Bosnian woman who falls in love with a member of the Serbian military. The Bosnian War pitted Bosnians against Serbs in a brutal ethnic war that stretched through the first half of the 1990s. Jolie often visits the region as a representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
Jolie’s latest Hollywood project, “Salt,” grossed $216.3 million at box offices around the globe and she is set to star next alongside Johnny Depp in “The Tourist.”
