Tupac Shakur Biopic Movie Is Moving Forward
A Tupac Shakur biopic has been in the workss for a seemingly endless stretch of time, but the project appears to be gaining steam finally. A report late last week stated that a screenwriting team has been hired to put together a script for the rap magnate’s biopic.
Stephen J. Rivele and Chris Wilkinson will work with Antoine Fuqua to develop a script for the film which could now begin production as soon as the middle of November. The new writing team don’t intend on taking the same path of past scripts for the Shakur biopic. Instead, Wilkinson stated in an interview that the writers are looking to have the movie revolve around Tupac’s final day in Las Vegas with flashbacks covering the previous four years of his life.
Wilkinson and Rivele are the Oscar nominated due behind films such as “Ali” and “Nixon,” while Fuqua wrote the screenplay for “Training Day.”
