Natalie Portman Offered Lead Role In “Gravity”
Actress Natalie Portman may be experiencing a miniature rebirth in Hollywood having been offered the leading role in the upcoming drama “Gravity.”
The leading role in the project from director Alfonso Cuaron has been highly sought after in Hollywood with Angelina Jolie recently backing away from the film. The survival tale centers on a woman who is the lone survivor on a space station that was hammered by satellite debris. The story is being considered a space version of the Tom Hanks survival film “Cast Away.”
The project from Warners would be the latest film for Portman who has three films on their way to theaters. These films include the romantic comedy “No Strings” (Jan), the comedy “Your Highness” (April), and “Thor” (May).
